We were sound asleep at about 1:30am Saturday March 3,2007 when we were awakened by a loud banging noise. It took a couple of moments of confusion to finally determine that someone was attempting to break in the glass door at the front of the house. The three layers of glass were shattered, but they held in place due to the fact that the door was protected by 3M Window Film. I had all the windows in the entire house protected with the 3M window film in 2005, after the four hurricanes hit Florida. Ryan, at Tint by Masters, did an outstanding job and I am grateful we have not had a direct hit in St. Petersburg from a hurricane, but I was safe from a hit from a possible intruder because of the 3M Window film.

I just wanted you to know what a great job Tony did when tinting my living room. He did an excellent and professional job, was very personable and friendly and cleaned up everything perfectly before he left. To top it off, he helped me out by coming out at a time that was more convenient to me.

The Tint looks great and I do notice a big difference in the heat reduction from the morning sun. I feel safe replacing my living room furniture which was badly faded from UV rays previously.

I know I made a good investment that will pay for itself protecting my furnishings and cutting my A/C bill. Thanks for a job well done!

If you are considering window tinting services for your business or residence, please accept this reference for Mr. Ryan King and Tint by Masters Gulf Coast.

I supervise several departments that are located in the Marshall Student Center, a student union building that was one of the first constructed on the University of South Florida campus in1960. Our offices and conference room are located on the north and west sides of the building and lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the west-facing offices bear the brunt of the afternoon and evening sunlight. Although the windows had been previously covered with window tint, the film was old and degraded, causing everything to appear purple and providing absolutely no reduction of glare or heat. Combine this with the declining performance of our original 1950’s-era air conditioning system, and you can imagine that office staff were absolutely sweltering in the summer and fall months each year.

To get working conditions back to a reasonable level of comfort, I contracted Tint by Masters to come in and install 3M window film on all of the west-facing windows of the second floor. Ryan and his crew were able to remove the old film and install the new film quickly and efficiently, with a minimum of intrusion on our work environment and at a very reasonable cost. The results have been even better than expected – rooms are brighter but also cooler (temperatures were reduced by 10 degrees or more with no changes to the air-handling system), and the view of the sky and trees outside has gone from a surreal, purplish haze to a sharp and pleasing reality.

In summary, Tint by Masters provided us with a quality product and service at a very reasonable price, and I am happy to recommend them to any business or individual that is considering installing window film in the future.
